St David's Day at Croeso Festival

St David’s Day is a celebration of spring, of returning light, of hope and strength.

For the fourth year in a row, Sunflowers Wales were proud to take part in the celebrations in Swansea city centre! Once again, it was a wonderful opportunity for us to say Diolch to Welsh people and to share Ukrainian culture — our dances, our songs, and, of course, our delicious food.

We were truly overwhelmed and grateful to see so many people gathering to watch our performances. Our stand was buzzing all day long, filled with visitors, smiles, conversations, and support.

A heartfelt thank you to our incredible dancers, our brilliant singers Yeva and Victoria, our tireless stand team, everyone who prepared the delicious food and created the beautiful souvenirs, all the children who danced with us today, and everyone who came to watch, listen, support, and buy from us.

We continued fundraising on Sunday with something truly special — exclusive felting creations and unique jewellery handmade by our talented Ukrainian masters.

Altogether, we raised over £1,660!!!

As always, every penny will go directly towards purchasing medical supplies for Ukrainian paramedics and hospitals.
