Movie screening

We enjoyed a wonderful and cosy family event—a screening of the Ukrainian film Ivan Syla.

The screening was organised as part of the international Culture vs War project and the Film Marathon marking World Children’s Day, thanks to the wonderful initiative of KRYLA Culture – Community & Art Organisation and the support of the “Watch Ukrainian!” Association.

When the lights came back on, there were tears in many eyes. We recognised Ukrainian streets and buildings, and the familiar interiors brought back memories of childhood and our grandparents’ homes. We all cheered for the young Ukrainian who became famous around the world while remaining honest, dignified and true to himself.

Our sincere thanks to Yuliia Ivanova for making this screening possible. We are also very grateful to everyone who supported our initiative to help pupils of the Chornomorsk Special School in the Odesa region.
